![]() ![]() ![]() Click to expand.there you go, i mean no disrespect here, but here is another Noob who doesnt even understand how their own software works, and just typing the word ARCSOFT makes me shake my head and wonder what some of you people are doing, especially if they are still supporting the old and outdated Cuda technology.Ĭuda is crap, period, there is no other way of putting it, its old technology, and intel Quick Sync eats Cuda for dinner when it comes to encoding speed and its technology (google will tell you this and so will all the experts out there) and maybe instead of you coming into this forum and crapping on VRD for not supporting Cuda "in the future" shows just how little you know your stuff, and i think its rude the way you have posted.Īlso, one other thing, you say that your using VRD for some of your work (the light stuff) and using Arcsoft for the heavy work, well if arcsoft is so good, why dont you simply ditch VRD and use MediaConverter for everything ? or is it that Arcsoft cannot do your light lifting as good as VRD does.Ī few years ago i thought mediaconverter was wonderful, so good that i bought a license for it, and i always used Quick Sync (with my intel 2600 cpu) because it encoded twice as fast as Cuda did when using the older nvidia cards, then i discovered software such as Xmedia Recode, AviDemux and Handbrake, all are much better encoders than MediaConverter (they dont support hardware encoding either for obvious reasons) and all of them are free open source software.
